Ask yourselves, WHY NOT ME?

Have it ever occur to you when you get hyped about something or someone where you wished to be like them one day? You do notice that every time you say that you want to be like somebody successful but even you yourself thinks it's not gonna work. Some people wanted to be a singer and people demotivates them by saying, that how many people will be as successful as those stars. Who are we to dream about that we want to be as famous as those rich and successful stars?

Well, it had occurred to me that when my dad says those people in cyber cafes are wasting their money and time. I counter his argument by saying, who knows which day they will be a famous gamer and make more money than you every year? He will say something like, so many gamers, how many gamers will actually become famous. Although he becomes famous, if he's still not the top player, he won't earn much money also.

You see, this is where teenagers gets demotivated and forget about their purpose of life, their passion and dream. When people doubt your abilities and give you statistics like there are so many billion people in the world, u out of those few billion, what are your odds. This is the time where you need to tell yourselves not to quit. Every famous people had gone through what we are going through right now. People's and self doubt about their abilities. If they didnt say why can't i become famous, one out of a billion is still a probability that i will succeed.

While steve jobs is still in his garage doing his work on computers, Microsoft is already quite a big company at that time. Steve Jobs had many struggles and met many failures. I bet many had told him to give up on what he is doing now and do something more reasonable. If he'd quit at that time, there will be no Macbooks and even the iphone. Its himself who said to his inner self, who says going against one of the biggest software companies in the world is a bad idea. 'If everybody says i can't, i will prove them wrong'.

There are many situations that we can use this 'why not me' concept. For example, getting first class honors in degree, getting selected to work with the top companies of the world or even getting the girl/guy of our dreams. I know sometimes lecturer's will discuss about the passing percentage of a specific subject, maybe the failure rate is 75% or maybe its even 90%. Why can't you be one of the 10% that passed the test?

One of my goals is to bankrupt company X, because i couldn't withstand how they treat their staffs and giving their staffs bullshit working hours with bullshit salary. I told one of my colleague while i was working at company X that i would want to see this company go bankrupt one day. She will call me to dream on, in N years this company will be more recognized and will be more stable due to having many more outlets and bigger target audience. Yes, i do notice all those facts in the future, even though if i fail in the future, at least i tried proving other people wrong.

Yes, i know that talking is easy and do not need effort. Although many people look down on you and don't think that you can succeed, you yourself must be confident with yourselves. If you yourself do not have confidence or believe in yourself, nobody will. Bottom line, you want to become a professional gamer? Go ahead and do it, at least get into competitions and try to improve your skills. There will always be one individual that differs from other individuals that says to themselves that they wan to be in the minor statistic that are going to succeed. ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?

Peace Out
